Jennifer Bassett Sphr

Jennifer Bassett, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources. From 2002 to 2007, they worked at Archstone as a Human Resources Consultant. In this role, they provided advisory support to management, assisted in organizational changes, served as Vice Chair at the So Others Might Eat Center for Employment Training (SOME-CET), and oversaw job description development and recruiting events.

Since 2007, Jennifer has been with JBG SMITH. Jennifer started as a Sr. Human Resources Manager, where they focused on organizational development and employee relations. Jennifer'sresponsibilities included designing and delivering training workshops, providing relevant metrics for operational decision-making, and maintaining and revising the Employee Handbook. Jennifer then advanced to the role of Vice President of Human Resources from June 2018 to December 2022. Currently, Jennifer holds the position of Managing Vice President, overseeing the human resources function at JBG SMITH.

Jennifer Bassett, SPHR, SHRM-SCP completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications at The University of Georgia, spanning from 1999 to 2002.
