Senior Director, Residential Operations Design at JBG SMITH

Will Greer has a diverse range of work experience in the real estate and construction industry. Will is currently employed at JBG SMITH as the Senior Director of Residential Operations Design. In this role, they attend design meetings for residential development projects and provides input from an operations perspective. Will also reviews plans and specifications to identify operational challenges and offers recommendations to address them. Will also coordinates the distribution of lessons learned from each project to refine residential design guidelines.

Prior to working at JBG SMITH, Will was an Advisory Services Project Manager at Bozzuto. Will collaborated with clients to develop a vision for mixed-use multifamily development projects. Will also conducted market analysis and provided guidance on amenity programming, building operations, unit designs, and finishes.

Before that, Will worked as a Project Engineer at Bach Homes, LLC, where they assisted in the due diligence, development, and construction of three apartment communities. Will maintained communication between government entities, contractors, and design professionals, improving team productivity and efficiency.

Will also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at The University of Utah, where they rebranded a student competition and redesigned associated branded materials.

Furthermore, Will's work experience includes an internship at Orchard Development, where they developed site plans and conducted market research. Will also worked as an Intern at Lawrence Group, assisting in creating small area plans and digitally illustrating street sections and diagrams.

Additionally, Will has previous experience as a Contractor's Assistant at Michael J. Greer Construction, an Intern at the City of Frederick in the Planning Department, and a Store Manager at The Pottery Loft.

Will Greer completed their high school education at Francis Scott Key High School from 2005 to 2009. Will then pursued a Drafting Certificate at Carroll County Career and Technology Center from 2008 to 2009. Moving on to higher education, they attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2009 to 2013 where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Architecture and a minor in Urban Studies. Following this, from 2013 to 2014, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte again, this time for their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in Architecture. Lastly, from 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Master's Degree in Real Estate Development at the University of Utah – David Eccles School of Business.
