Edison Alvares

Edison Alvares has a diverse and extensive work experience in various financial roles. Edison started their career at FLSmidth in 1988 as the Finance Chief and remained with the company until 1997. From there, they joined Alstom Transport as Financial Planning officer for a year and a half. In 1999, they moved to Vesper and served as the Budget & Control Director for two years. In 2001, Alvares joined Brasil Telecom as the Budget & Control Manager, staying with the company until 2005. Most recently, they have been associated with JBS Australia, starting as the CFO in 2005 and currently serving as the COO of the JBS Australia Pork Division, which includes Rivalea, DVP, and 7PP.

Edison Alvares completed a Bachelor of Economics from Faculdade de Economia Sao Luis in the years 1989 to 1993. Edison then pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, General, known as CEAG-FGV, from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 1996 to 1998. Later, they enrolled at Queensland University of Technology from 2014 to 2015 to pursue an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), but no specific field of study is mentioned.
