Karla Thieman

Karla Thieman is an experienced leader in public policy and government relations, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations at JBS USA since July 2022. Prior to this role, Karla was a Partner in the Food and Agriculture Practice at Finsbury Glover Hering from July 2021 to July 2022. Karla's background includes significant positions at the USDA from 2014 to 2017, where responsibilities included Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor. Additionally, Karla contributed to the Senate Agriculture Committee from January 2009 to March 2014 as Majority Senior Professional Staff. Early career experience includes serving as Statewide Field Director for Mark Udall's Senate campaign with the Colorado Democratic Party from March 2008 to January 2009. Karla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earned between 2002 and 2006.
