Doug Freeman

Senior Director at JDI

Doug is fascinated by how we talk about technology, and how it informs our social and cultural narratives. As a founding member of JDI, he helped develop the firm’s expertise in artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and emerging frontier technologies. He works across all clients to discern emergent patterns, develop new initiatives, and help companies define their vision and strategy. He’s driven by a desire to discover the unique story not yet told. Doug earned his Master’s degree studying digital rhetoric at the University of Texas, where he taught in the Digital Writing and Research Lab.

He also writes for the Austin Chronicle, profiling some of the most interesting artists throughout Texas. He has written for numerous publications and is co-editor of the Austin Chronicle Music Anthology, published by University of Texas Press.
