Nicholas Thayer

Nicholas Thayer is a Service Project Engineer at JDR Cable Systems, involved in the Vineyard Wind Project and the Neart Na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Project since June 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a 6th Company Adjutant, Energy Systems Assistant Operations Officer, and Squad Leader at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where support was provided to over 60 freshman students in academic matters and campus activities from May 2021 to May 2023. Nicholas completed internships as an Engineer Intern at NAVSEA Warfare Centers in the summer of 2022 and as an Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping, focusing on structural analysis and modeling for ship vibration risk. Additional experience includes a role as a Sales Engineer at Plumbers' Supply Company, where design projects were supervised and customer support provided for plumbing and HVAC systems. Nicholas holds a Bachelor's degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, earned in 2023.
