Eliseo Montañez

Eliseo (Lee) Montañez has extensive experience in auditing, risk management, and strategic leadership. Their career includes roles such as Director of Audit at JEA, where they provided forward-thinking leadership and fostered collaboration between key departments. Prior to that, they served as a Manager of Internal Audit and Senior Information Technology Auditor at JEA, where they managed audit teams and conducted a variety of audits. Before their time at JEA, Lee worked as a Business Consultant II at FIS and held positions in procurement and accounting at Compañía de Parques Nacionales, Municipio de San Juan, and Oficina del Contralor de Puerto Rico.

Eliseo (Lee) Montañez obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Universidad de Puerto Rico in 1995. Eliseo (Lee) then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Florida, graduating in 2010. In 2011, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA. Subsequently, in 2018, they became a Certified Internal Auditor, followed by obtaining the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) in 2020.
