Melinda Fischer

Melinda Fischer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Electric Systems Planning at JEA since March 2008. In this role, Melinda leads a team focused on optimizing energy infrastructure and oversees four key departments including Resource Planning, Transmission Planning, Distribution Planning, and System Analysis. Previous positions at JEA include Manager of Resource Planning and Strategic Manager for Customer Solutions & Market Development, where Melinda contributed to integrated resource planning, energy forecasting, and electrification strategies. Earlier career experiences include engineering roles at the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council and Singapore Epson Industrial Pte Ltd, among others. Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Florida, an Associate's Degree from Florida State Community College of Jacksonville, and a Diploma from Nanyang Polytechnic.
