Janis Whitlock

Janis Whitlock is a Systems and Program Development Consultant, self-employed since January 2022, specializing in human development, psychology, and youth mental health. Janis serves as an Emerita Research Scientist at Cornell University, having held various roles including Sr. Lecturer, where courses were designed on risk and opportunity in development, and research scientist, focusing on education and training within the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research. Additionally, Janis is a Senior Advisor for The Jed Foundation, contributing expertise in program and curriculum development, public speaking, and project support. Janis holds a PhD in Human Development from Cornell University, an MPH in program development and evaluation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in Social Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
