Monica P. Band

Monica P. Band serves as a Subject Matter Expert for The Jed Foundation and The AAKOMA Project, focusing on emotional health and the mental health needs of Youth of Color, respectively. As the Owner and Licensed Professional Counselor at Mindful Healing Counseling, LLC, Monica provides individual counseling services. Additionally, Monica has extensive experience in academia, having held roles as an Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor at Marymount University, as well as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University, teaching various counseling courses. Monica's prior roles include supervision of clinical students, human resources specialist, and vocational rehabilitation specialist. Monica holds a Doctor of Education in Counselor Education & Supervision from Marymount University and multiple degrees in psychology and counseling from reputable institutions.
