Rena Abrams has a diverse work experience spanning a variety of roles and organizations. Rena currently serves as the Director of NYC Strategy and Implementation at The Jed Foundation (JED) since December 2022. Prior to this, Rena worked as a Consultant at Org-ology from October 2021 to December 2022. Rena also spent several years at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where they held the positions of Director of Planning and Partnerships from August 2018 to June 2021, and School Mental Health Special Projects Coordinator from October 2016 to August 2018. Before that, Rena worked at the NYC Department of Education as a Family Services Manager within the Division of Family and Community Engagement from July 2015 to October 2016. Rena'searlier experience includes being a Supervisor of Waiver Service Providers at New Alternatives For Children from June 2014 to July 2015.
Rena Abrams completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan from 2005 to 2009. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where they obtained a Masters of Art (M.A) and Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Psychology from 2010 to 2013.
