Sunitha Meruvu

Director, Precision Health Programs at Jeeva Informatics Solutions

Sunitha Meruvu has worked in a variety of roles in the field of precision health programs since 2005. Sunitha began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIDDK) where they identified a novel transcriptional and splicing factor, ZNF638 in adipose tissue. Sunitha then moved to the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute as a Postdoctoral Associate before becoming a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Methodist Hospital Research Institute and University of Houston, where they assisted in a genomic project to identify interactions between liver-X-receptors and thyroid hormone receptors in fatty liver. In 2013, they began working at Texas A&M University as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the College of Pharmacy, Texas A&M Health Science Center, where they initiated and developed projects to investigate the epigenetic effects of phthalates/plasticizers in diabetes, obesity, and pregnancy complications. Most recently, they have been working as the Director of Precision Health Programs at Jeeva Informatics Solutions LLC since 2018.

Sunitha Meruvu earned their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Hyderabad, India and Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany between the years 2001 and 2005. In 2017, they obtained certifications in Cell Culture Techniques and Bioseparations and Downstream Processing and Principles of Scale-Up: Upstream Biomanufacturing from the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Disrupting Yourself from LinkedIn.
