Jose Lora, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Associate in Biotech Equity Research at Jefferies since July 2024. Prior experience includes working as a Biotech Equity Research Associate focusing on CNS at Citizens JMP from July 2022 to June 2024, and an Equity Research Fellow at SVB Securities from April 2022 to July 2022. Lora's academic background features a Ph.D. in Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, where research concentrated on the post-translational regulation of ADAM17, a metalloprotease influencing TNF-alpha release. Additionally, leadership during the Accelerated BioVenture Innovation program resulted in co-founding a biotech startup, while participation in the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps program involved market and customer discovery research in emerging biotechnologies. Earlier research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine explored metabolic syndrome's effect on acute murine Chagas' disease. Eduardo's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rhode Island College.
