Matt Hagood

Matt Hagood is an experienced equity research professional currently serving as an Equity Research Associate at Jefferies since July 2024. Previously, Matt held roles as an Associate at Casdin Capital, LLC from November 2023 to April 2024 and as an Equity Research Associate at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. from June 2021 to November 2023, where Matt also worked as a Biotechnology Equity Research Intern. Matt's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Biotechnology from Columbia University (2020-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia (2015-2019). While at the University of Virginia, Matt contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher on projects focused on multi-drug targeted therapies for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma, developing skills in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation using software tools such as R and Excel in a collaborative team environment.
