Jefferson Center for Mental Health
Rebecca Mitchell currently serves as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties at the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, focusing on implementing best practices in suicide prevention and advocating for high-risk populations. In addition, Rebecca is a Lead Mobile Crisis Responder for SAFY of America, enhancing community outreach and supporting crisis response efforts across multiple counties. Previous experience includes roles as a Licensed Professional Counselor, District Prevention Coordinator, and Professional School Counselor, with a strong emphasis on family dynamics, adolescent mental health, and community engagement in prevention efforts. Rebecca holds a Master of Science in School Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and African American and Diaspora Studies from the University of Wyoming.
