Shannon Gwash, MS, NBC-HWC has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Shannon began their career as a Corporate Communications Specialist at Solutran from June 2006 to May 2008. Shannon then worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Denver from September 2008 to June 2010. Following this, Shannon served as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Mayo Clinic from October 2010 to October 2011. Shannon then joined the University of Minnesota - School of Public Health as an Associate Director of Communication from November 2011 to October 2012. Shannon also worked as the Director of Marketing and Sales - Wilderness Golf Course at KemperSports Management from February 2013 to July 2014. Shannon briefly worked as a Strategic Marketing Consultant at Lake Superior Art Glass from June 2014 to December 2014 before joining Jefferson Center for Mental Health. At Jefferson Center for Mental Health, Shannon held multiple roles including Marketing and Public Relations Manager from December 2014 to August 2016, and then as the Director of Wellness Services from August 2016 to present.
Shannon Gwash, MS, NBC-HWC completed their education at the University of Denver, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Public Relations with a focus on Health Promotions and Athletic Media Relations. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from St. Cloud State University. In addition to their formal education, they also hold several certifications including Mental Health First Aid from MHFA, CPR and First Aid from the American Red Cross, and a Mayo Clinic Health and Wellness Coach certification.
