Kriss Fairbairn Fortunato

Kriss Fairbairn Fortunato is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public service, media, and emergency management. Currently serving as an elected member of the Jefferson Parish School Board, District 3 since January 2023, Fortunato previously held the role of Emergency Management Specialist at Ochsner Health for a brief period in 2022. As the owner and president of Fortunato Productions from 2000 to 2022, Fortunato developed a successful multimedia service. Additional roles include Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Kenner, Director of Communications for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana, and Public Information Officer for Jefferson Parish Government. A seasoned media professional, Fortunato also worked as a television news anchor and reporter at WDSU for two decades. Fortunato holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications-Journalism from Louisiana Tech University.
