VP Europe - Manufacturing Stategy & Business Improvement at JELD-WEN

Bill Shelvey has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in manufacturing and operations. From 1997 to 2008, they worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK, where they progressed from a Manufacturing Engineer to a Production and Manufacturing Engineering Manager. During this time, they were responsible for delivering production volumes, ensuring SQDCIP performance, and leading new vehicle introduction projects.

From 2008 to 2011, Shelvey worked at Rolls-Royce as a Business Improvement Manager, initially in the Aerospace sector and later transitioning to the Marine sector. Bill'srole involved identifying and delivering cross-functional business improvements and coaching and supporting local business teams. Notably, they trained and coached Marine first-line leaders in a leadership program.

From 2011 to 2016, Shelvey joined Rolls-Royce Marine as the Head of Business Improvement, Quality, and EHS. Bill'sresponsibilities included improving business processes, ensuring safety culture, and reducing customer complaints across multiple locations.

Since 2016, Shelvey has been working at JELD-WEN, Inc. In their current role as VP Europe - Manufacturing Strategy & Business Improvement, they are responsible for operational optimization across 20+ plants divided across four European regions. Bill oversees a team of operations and functional directors and drives continuous improvement, manufacturing strategy, and supply chain optimization.

Bill Shelvey attended Portsmouth Grammar School from 1986 to 1993. Bill then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Aston University from 1993 to 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Bill obtained a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH in 2015 and a Black Belt Certification (BB) from Rolls-Royce in 2011.
