Joseph Chu has extensive experience in research and development within the food industry, currently serving as the Research & Development Manager at Jelly Belly Candy Company since October 2017, progressing through various roles including Senior Food Technologist and Food Technologist. Prior to this, Joseph worked as a Quality Assurance Technician at The Olive Oil Factory and gained research experience as an intern at UC Davis Food Engineering Lab, where skills in method development for food properties were honed. Early career experience includes laboratory assistant roles at Anresco Laboratories, focusing on microbial media preparation and sample handling. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis.
