Ihor Chekanov

Ihor Chekanov's work experience includes various roles in project management and software development. Ihor is currently the Head of Project Management Office at Jelvix, where they implement and supports project management and business analysis processes, participates in strategic planning, and mentors Project Managers. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at Jelvix, where they were responsible for business analysis, technical consulting, project steering, and leading project teams.

Before Jelvix, Ihor worked as a Project Management course teacher at Beetroot Academy, where they taught and coached future managers and leaders. Ihor also worked as a Project Manager in PMO at SSA Group, where they were responsible for business analysis, project management, and project team leadership.

Earlier in their career, Ihor served as a Project Manager and Head of Mobile Development Department at Riff Point. Ihor also worked as a Full Stack Developer at JZ production limited and as a Project Manager and Software Developer at WPS Hong Kong. Additionally, they worked as a freelance Full Stack Web Developer, gaining experience in business analysis, UI/UX design, full-stack development, and testing.

Overall, Ihor has a diverse background in project management, software development, and teaching, with expertise in various methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Evidence-based Management.

Ihor Chekanov 🇺🇦 obtained a Master's degree in Computerized Technologies and Publishing Systems from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (ХНУРЭ) from 2010 to 2016. Ihor later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Information Technologies from the same university starting in 2016. Additionally, Ihor has obtained various certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kanban Management Professional and Kanban System Design from Kanban University, Professional Scrum Developer™ I (PSD I) from Scrum.org, Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., and many more.
