Phil Rowley

Director of Technology at JENISON PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Phil Rowley is the current Director of Technology at JENISON PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Prior to their current position, Phil was a Senior Network Administrator at Kamps Pallets from January 2021 to April 2022. Phil was also previously a Network Administrator at Allendale Public Schools from December 2008 to July 2013, and a Systems Engineer at Ottawa Area ISD from March 2011 to November 2017. Phil has participated in a large growth phase for Kamps Pallets, helping the company double in size through acquisitions in several states and major US markets. Phil has also had opportunity to travel to asset-based locations and integrate their systems and networks. Some of their major projects include a forklift update of the data center to Nutanix and moving several sites away from MPLS/T1/legacy connectivity to SD-WAN solutions with velocloud. Throughout their time with Kamps Pallets, Phil has implemented best practices for information security and has begun a journey of creating an Information Security team to handle future growth needs.

Phil Rowley has a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business, an Associate of Science in Computer Programming from Jackson College, and a High School Diploma in Computer Programming from Leslie High School. Phil is certified from the SANS Institute in GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) and GMON.

Phil Rowley reports to Brandon W. Graham, Superintendent. They work with Tim Ritsema - Director of Athletics, Amy Wierzbicki - Principal, Pinewood Elementary, and Jon Visser - Director of Facilities.
