Meaghan Ahlbrand

Meaghan Ahlbrand serves as the Social Studies Department Head at Jennings County Middle School since August 2019, while also fulfilling the role of Social Studies Teacher and Library Media Specialist at Jennings County Schools since August 2009. Ahlbrand has contributed significantly to youth literacy initiatives, evidenced by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation Youth Literacy Grant and has demonstrated a commitment to student engagement through the Jennings Youth Involvement Team and Survivor Book Club. Prior experience includes serving as the Youth Services Department Head at Jennings County Public Library from June 2005 to August 2009, during which Ahlbrand was recognized with the Institute of Museum and Library Services Grant and the National Endowment for the Arts "Big Read" Grant. Educational background includes a Master's of Library Science from Indiana University and a Bachelor's degree in History and Social Studies Education from Ball State University.
