Prasanna Chinnathambi

Prasanna Chinnathambi, PhD, currently serves as the Lead Research Consultant at Jensen Hughes since September 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager and Senior Enclosure Engineer at Fluence, where responsibilities encompassed leading safety initiatives for Battery Energy Storage Systems, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, and conducting combustion modeling for deflagration protection. A background in research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory involved evaluating combustion models for turbulent processes, while earlier positions included research at Michigan State University focusing on ignition studies, an Analysis Engineer role at MAHLE Powertrain on ignition systems, and graduate research at IUPUI in gas turbine applications. Prasanna holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, a Master's from Purdue University, and a Bachelor's from PSG College of Technology.
