Scottie Gearing

Scottie Gearing has extensive work experience in technical writing and editing. From 2010 to present, they have been working at Jenzabar as a Senior Technical Writer & Team Lead, leading a team that creates user content for higher education software. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they worked at CACI as a Senior Technical Writer, where they developed and edited user guides and supported the Information Assurance team. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Freelance Editor and Writer, specializing in developing resume packages for military personnel transitioning to commercial sectors. Scottie also has experience as a Senior Technical Writer at Langley AFB and Zel Technologies, and as a Technical Writer at Jenzabar and RSA. In addition, they have worked as a Programmer/Technical Writer/Web Developer at Concepts in Automation, and as an Editor/Office Manager at The Bowser Report.

Scottie Gearing holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Christopher Newport University.
