Mark Johnson

Mark Johnson is an experienced executive currently serving as Vice President of Operational Excellence at JERA Nex since January 2024. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Director of Global Business Development at SSE Renewables from April 2021 to January 2024 and served as Chief Operating Officer at Equality Forward, a consultancy focused on inclusive workplaces, between September 2020 and April 2021. Mark’s extensive experience at Hess Corporation from August 2012 to December 2020 included various directorial positions, overseeing commercial operations and strategic leadership across multiple regions. Before Hess, Mark worked at BHP Billiton as a Senior Negotiator and held legal management roles at Petro-Canada and ExxonMobil. Mark began a legal career at CMS Cameron McKenna, advising major oil and gas companies. Mark holds an LPC in Law from the University of Nottingham.
