Werner Bornman

Werner Bornman is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the IT sector. Currently serving as the Director of Technology and Head Of Digital Technology at Jersey Electricity plc since May 2019, Werner previously held the position of Chief Information Officer and Head of IT at STANLIB from July 2009 to April 2019, where responsibility included managing IT resources in alignment with business strategies. Werner also served as Head of ICT Governance, Risk and Compliance, overseeing IT-related risk management. Additional roles include Deputy Chairman of the Continuity2010 Steering Committee, Manager at KPMG, and lecturer at the University of Johannesburg. Educational qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Informatics, a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (Cum Laude) in Informatics, and a Higher Diploma in Computer Auditing from the University of the Witwatersrand.
