Elena Shepherd is an experienced education professional with a background in teaching and mentorship. Currently serving as an Education Volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the Federated States of Micronesia, Elena has been teaching at Our Lady of Mercy High School since July 2016. Prior experience includes roles as Facilities Staff at Boston College Recreational Complex, an Education and Program Intern with the Urban Scholars of UMass Boston, and a Lifeguard with American Pool. Additionally, Elena served as a Mentor and Tutor at Bird Street Community Center, focusing on middle school students. Elena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government, as well as Philosophy from Boston College, and has studied at University College Utrecht.
