Kristian Handberg has a diverse background in the energy and technology industries. Kristian is currently serving as the Head of Future Business at JET Charge, where they lead the strategy team in developing and commercializing electric vehicle charging solutions. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Electric Mobility at Viva Energy Australia, where they designed the deployment plan for EV charging in retail networks.

Before joining Viva Energy Australia, Kristian worked at AGL Energy for six years, where they held the position of Lead - Electric Vehicles. In this role, they were responsible for new product development, corporate strategy, and commercialization of emerging technologies, such as launching the AGL Electric Car Plan.

Kristian also has experience in research and project management. Kristian worked as a Research Fellow at the George Alexander Foundation, focusing on microgrids, and as a Business Development Manager at Percepscion, a home energy management technology start-up. Kristian was also a Principal Consultant at DiUS Computing, specializing in the Internet-of-Things and the Connected Home.

Furthermore, Kristian has contributed to public policy development in the energy and environmental sectors. Kristian worked as a Project Manager at the Department of Transport, overseeing the Victorian Electric Vehicle Trial, and as a Senior Policy Officer at the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Kristian Handberg obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Materials Engineering from Monash University, which they attended from 1990 to 1994. Kristian further pursued their education at RMIT University, where they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Project Management from 2000 to 2003. In 2013 and 2014, Kristian participated in the George Alexander International Fellowship program at the ISS Institute.
