Maarten Balliauw

Maarten Balliauw is an experienced Developer Advocate and team lead at JetBrains since October 2016, focusing on .NET and Java technologies while actively promoting knowledge sharing and communication. In addition, Maarten founded SpeakerTravel in March 2019, a platform that simplifies travel booking for conference speakers, and offers freelance consulting services through Balliauw Consulting. As a board member of AZUG.BE, Maarten contributes to the Microsoft Azure community, and previously founded MyGet, which provided hosted feeds for various development tools until its acquisition by IDERA in 2018. Maarten's career includes significant roles at Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer, along with various positions in technical consulting and software development across different organizations. Maarten holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool and has a solid educational background in informatics and modern languages.
