Rauf Kurbanov

Rauf Kurbanov is an experienced professional in machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the ML Division Tech Lead at JetBrains since September 2023. Previously, Rauf co-founded GPT Media Buyer and worked at Synthesis AI as a Senior Research Engineer, contributing to the development of synthetic data generation through deep generative modeling. Rauf has held academic positions as a lecturer at the Higher School of Economics and St. Petersburg Academic University, teaching courses in deep learning and machine learning for audio and speech. Rauf's extensive research background includes positions at Neu.ro and JetBrains, where significant projects were completed in collaboration with esteemed institutions. Rauf holds a PhD candidate status and has earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from St. Petersburg Academic University and Saint Petersburg State University.
