Shamil Weerakoon

Shamil Weerakoon has extensive experience in e-commerce and revenue management, currently serving as Senior Manager - Revenue & Ecommerce at Jetwing Hotels since November 2016. Previous roles include Ecommerce Manager and Senior Ecommerce Executive, where responsibilities encompassed website management, payment gateway troubleshooting, and social media marketing insights. Prior to Jetwing Hotels, Shamil held various positions at BenWorldwide (Pvt) Ltd., including Support Specialist and Management Trainee for Project Manager, focusing on client website requirements and online marketing. Earlier experience as a Freelance Web Designer at DDS Creations involved web development and graphic design. Shamil's educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Computing, Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth and further studies at the Singapore Informatics Computer Institute and St. Joseph's College in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
