Riekie Berkers

Riekie Berkers has significant experience in the care and support sector, currently serving as a volunteer at Stichting Buitenhof since September 2024, where Riekie focuses on providing enjoyable holiday experiences for individuals with disabilities. For over two decades, Riekie has worked as a youth care worker at Jeugdbescherming Brabant since April 2002, collaborating with families to promote parental responsibility and child development. Prior to this, Riekie held leadership roles, including team leader at Mutsaersstichting from March 1999 to April 2003, overseeing a team of 12, and served as a group leader and later group head at Viataal from January 1987 to March 1999, managing two living groups of individuals with combined hearing and intellectual disabilities. Riekie Berkers holds a degree from HBO University obtained between 1982 and 1986 and attended St. Willibrord Gymnasium from 1976 to 1982.
