Julian Pecquet

Julian Pecquet is an experienced journalist specializing in foreign policy and Middle Eastern affairs. Currently serving as the Washington/UN correspondent for Jeune Afrique Group and The Africa Report since November 2021, Julian has also contributed to these publications as a Washington contributor from July 2021 to November 2021. Previously, Julian founded and edited Foreign Lobby Report and held the position of Special Projects Editor at Al-Monitor from 2014 to April 2020, where responsibilities included overseeing foreign lobbying reporting and managing a team of reporters. Additionally, Julian has experience as a congressional correspondent and foreign affairs reporter with notable work at The Hill, where a Global Affairs blog was launched. Julian holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a political science degree from Sciences Po Strasbourg.
