Waleska Maldonado

Chief Program Officer at JEVS Human Services

Waleska, “Wally,” Maldonado serves as JEVS Chief Program Officer. Wally brings over 25 years of experience in non-profit and government program development and capacity building. Her decades of experience include developing and implementing a federally qualified health center and establishing citywide Family Empowerment Centers. She most recently oversaw a $105 million budget for the City of Philadelphia prevention services, including WorkReady and E3 services. Prior to her city service, Wally was Chief Program Officer at Congreso de Latinos Unidos where she oversaw education and workforce services. While there, she enhanced their workforce development services through partnerships with Harcum College and Penn State. Wally also expanded their training and certification programs for medical supports staff. In addition, Wally brings extensive experience expanding housing and case management services and has worked with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to support HIV prevention and education.

Wally is very active in the community and has served on numerous boards, including PAN American Charter School, Planned Parenthood, YMCA-North, the Women’s Fund, and most recently City Year. Her work has been featured in the Journal of American Medical Association as well as the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. She holds a Master of Health Services Administration from Strayer University and a Business Administration degree from Temple University.
