Bryon Nelson currently serves as the Vice President of Product and Risk at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, a position held since 2015. In this role, Bryon is responsible for building a product management group focused on profit and loss for both personal and commercial lines, and successfully led the development of a new warranty product within six months. Key achievements include creating an internal audit plan based on enterprise risk frameworks, revising underwriting procedures that significantly reduced large loss claim frequency, and collaborating with the Cyber security team to enhance the maturity of ISO 27000 controls. Prior to this, Bryon held the position of Director of Product Management at National General Insurance and served as a Senior Product Analyst at Infinity Property and Casualty. Bryon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
