Michael Alberts

Michael Alberts has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Michael has held various leadership positions in the banking sector, including President & CEO at Jewett City Savings Bank and Vice President & Senior Commercial Loan Officer at the same institution. Additionally, they have served as the First Selectman for the Town of Woodstock, where they successfully managed department managers and saved $387,000 against the budget. In the State of Connecticut, Michael served as a State Representative for six consecutive terms and held positions such as Assistant Minority Leader and Ranking Member of Veterans, Commerce, and Banks Committees. In their earlier career, they worked at Citizens Bank, Simsbury Bank & Trust Co Inc, FleetBoston Financial, and Fleet National Bank, where they held various senior-level positions. Michael's background also includes military experience in the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force, where they served in air traffic control operations and public affairs. Michael achieved the rank of Major in the Air National Guard and Captain in the United States Air Force.

Michael Alberts attended Kingswood Oxford School, where they received a Diploma with Honors in 1976. Michael then went on to study at the University of Connecticut, completing their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters in 1980. Later, they pursued an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business, graduating in 1987.
