Zach Benjamin joined Jewish Long Beach as CEO in June 2019 and was named CEO of the newly-integrated Jewish Long Beach and Alpert JCC in January of 2022.

Zach is a dedicated advocate for the Jewish people and their imperative to serve as a light unto their community, Zach Benjamin joined Jewish Long Beach as CEO in June 2019 and was named CEO of the newly-integrated Jewish Long Beach and Alpert JCC in January of 2022. Prior to arriving in Southern California, he served for four years as executive director of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico. Here in Long Beach, Zach has led the implementation of innovative advocacy, programming, fund development, and communication practices to help set the agency’s narrative and inspire investment in Jewish Long Beach’s efforts to advance Jewish life in Long Beach, West Orange County, Israel, and beyond.

Prior to joining the Jewish communal professions, Zach spent 10 years as a business development professional with large trade associations, most recently overseeing global partnerships and governance structures for the National Association of Realtors, wherein in 2015 he led the U.S. real estate industry’s first-ever trade mission to Israel.
