Allison Cohen

Allison Cohen serves as the Chief of Communications & Fundraising at the Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island since January 2019, overseeing the Marketing and Fundraising Departments while acting as a community liaison. Prior roles include Chief of Communications & External Affairs, where influential contributions were made to the organization’s strategic direction, digital transformation, and crisis management, alongside the successful execution of large events and campaigns. Cohen also held positions such as Director of Marketing & Communications and Deputy Director of Communications for the Office of the Staten Island Borough President, managing media relations, special events, and digital strategies. Earlier experience includes roles at NY1 News and internships with NBC Dateline and the Staten Island Advance. Allison Cohen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Vassar College.
