Kelly Morris has a diverse work experience starting in 2008 as a Sandwich Maker and Cashier at Brueggers Bagels. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Features Writer and Column Writer at the Daily Nebraskan and The Odyssey respectively. During this time, they also worked as a Waitress at Blue Agave. In 2011, they interned at Enjoy Lincoln, where they started an entertainment website and managed social media accounts. In 2012, they contributed as a writer for CherryGrrl.com and The Seattle Lesbian. Kelly also interned at Mercy for Animals, where they focused on animal activism and education. Since 2013, they have been working as a Lead Preschool Teacher at the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center.

Kelly Morris attended Golden High School from 2004 to 2006 and then transferred to Elkhorn High School, where they completed their high school education from 2006 to 2008. After graduating from high school, they enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2008 to 2012. At the university, Kelly pursued a degree in News/Editorial with a field of study in Journalism.
