Len Gutman

VP, Philanthropic Services at JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDRENS SERVICE

Len Gutman has more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, and nonprofit fundraising. As Vice President of Philanthropic Services, his role is to develop and execute a long-term strategy to increase JFCS’s fundraising and marketing in the community. He is responsible for the growth and development of the philanthropy department that encompasses annual fundraising, major gifts, planned giving and endowments, grants and corporate support, special projects, and volunteer programs. Previously, he was Chief Development and Marketing Officer for Special Olympics Arizona and prior to that he was a Foundation Relations Advisor at the American Heart Association. He is the author of Giving Time: Making A Difference in Your Community (Llumina Press, 2003) and was a columnist and contributing writer for the Arizona Republic. Len serves on the board of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits where he is currently board chair. He is an alumnus of Valley Leadership and in 2003 was selected as one of the Phoenix Business Journal’s "40 Under 40." Len earned a master’s in English from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Jose State University.
