Linda Scott has been with JFCS since 1994. Her career in public non-profit social work began in 1983 with a baccalaureate degree from the School of Social Work at Michigan State University. Linda obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1989. Linda’s experience spans direct care, supervision, program development and management. Her clinical experience began with several years of psychosocial rehabilitation and crisis work, and expanded into family therapy grounded in client-centered principles. She has developed and implemented behavioral health programming for children, adults, and adults with serious mental illness. Linda also served as project manager for the development and implementation of an integrated electronic medical record knowledge base. Linda is committed to the outreach to minority communities and to bring service to the under-served. She is additionally skilled at collaboration, building relationships with stakeholders, and at coaching and training staff. Linda currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Council of Human Service Providers and chairs the Child Welfare Sub-Committee. She has also served on the Steering Committee for the Senior Leadership Conference of the Alliance for Children and Families. Linda has spent her work life in the public behavioral health system because that is where her career heart lives. The rest of her heart, time, and energy are reserved for her family, friends, and the outdoors.
