Renna van Oot

Renna Van Oot has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the non-profit and legal sectors. Renna most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer at Jewish Family Services of Delaware since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Interim Executive Director at Family Promise of Southern Chester County from March 2020 to July 2022. Renna also worked as an Attorney at Elle Van Dahlgren Law, LLC from January 2019 to March 2020. Earlier in their career, Renna held positions such as COO at Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region from November 2015 to January 2019, and Executive Director at Friends Home In Kennett from September 2011 to November 2015. Renna also gained experience as a Senior Associate at The Leland Leadership Group, LLC from March 2010 to September 2014, and as In-House Counsel/Dir. of HR at Strategic Technology Concepts, LLC from 2010 to 2011. Renna Van Oot started their career as an Associate Attorney at various law firms, focusing on estate planning, employment law, and non-profit law, from 2007 to 2010. Renna also served as the Executive Director/Regional Manager at Family Services Association/Holcomb Behavioral Health from 2000 to 2003, and at Tressler Centers of Delaware from 1997 to 2000. Throughout their career, Renna has demonstrated leadership, management, legal expertise, and a commitment to social services.

Renna Van Oot holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Delaware. Renna also completed a Master of Social Service and a Master of Law and Social Policy, specializing in program planning and community organizing, at Bryn Mawr College. Furthermore, they obtained a Doctor of Law degree (JD) from Delaware Law School (formerly Widener Law School).
