Sandra Vernon has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. Sandra's earlier work experience includes serving as the Associate Director of HR at Delaware Hospice, Inc., where they were involved in recruitment at all levels and focused on reducing turnover and improving retention. Sandra also worked as a Proprietor at Achieving Success, Inc., where they provided HR consulting to various businesses and offered coaching and counseling to staff and managers.

In the early stages of their career, Sandra worked as an AVP Human Resources at Beneficial. During this time, they coordinated a management development program and improved recruitment resources for the company.

Sandra Vernon holds a Bachelor's degree in English Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University, which they completed from 1981 to 1984. Sandra furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Group Dynamics/Counseling from Montclair State University between 1985 and 1987. In 2009, Sandra also received a certification in the Birkman Assessment from Birkman.
