Reuben Posner has a diverse range of work experience in the field of Jewish education and engagement. Reuben is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Jewish Education and Engagement at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Prior to this position, Reuben held the role of Senior Director of K-12 Education and Engagement at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles.
Reuben has also played a significant role in the founding and management of Havaya Arts, an overnight arts camp in Southern California. As the Founding Camp Director, they oversaw the camp's operations and successfully implemented a growth strategy, achieving 25% year-on-year growth.
Previous to their work at Havaya Arts, Reuben served as the Director of Youth Engagement at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, where they were responsible for developing and managing programs for young people. Reuben also had experience in the field of education as a Teaching Intern at Atrium School, where they worked with first-grade students.
Additionally, Reuben has worked with various organizations, including The Jewish Education Project and Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, where they held roles focused on development, marketing, and communications. Reuben also served as a Jewish Service Corps Volunteer in Mumbai, India, providing education and consulting services to the local Jewish community.
Reuben Posner began their education at Brandeis University in 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, and Journalism. Reuben successfully completed their undergraduate studies at Brandeis University in 2005. Several years later, in 2010, Reuben enrolled in the Harvard Graduate School of Education to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Learning and Teaching. Reuben completed their studies at Harvard in 2011.
