Jeff Dawson

Jeff Dawson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jeff currently works as the Associate Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where they started in April 2023. Prior to that, they were involved with the Jewish Federation in a stewardship role starting from January 2022.

From 2015 to 2020, Jeff worked at AIPAC as the Florida Synagogue Initiative Deputy Director. In this role, they mobilized members of synagogue communities to increase pro-Israel political activities and lobbied members of Congress on legislation strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship. Jeff also recruited individuals to attend AIPAC's annual Policy Conference in Washington.

From 2013 to 2015, Jeff served as the Director of the University of Georgia Hillel. Jeff managed staff, handled a $50,000 budget, and oversaw daily operations. During this time, they created programming, engaged students, and fundraised for the non-profit campus organization.

Before that, from 2011 to 2013, Jeff worked as a Campus Coordinator and Research Associate at the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise.

Jeff's earlier experiences include being a student at the Heiden Institute of Jerusalem / Yeshivat Ruach Chaim from 2006 to 2010, where they were awarded full scholarships and developed critical thinking and analytical skills. Jeff also participated in various legal and communications roles, such as being a Paralegal at Nooney & Roberts Attorneys at Law from 2005 to 2006, and working in public relations at the University of Florida from 2004 to 2005.

Additionally, Jeff has media experience as a News Reporter/Cameraman at WUFT-TV from 2003 to 2004 and as a Radio Show Host/Anchor/Reporter at NPR/WUFT-FM from 2002 to 2003.

Throughout their career, Jeff has demonstrated their ability to take on leadership roles, engage with diverse communities, and effectively communicate messages to a wide range of audiences.

Jeff Dawson attended the University of Florida from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Jeff'sfield of study focused on Journalism and Political Science. In addition to their formal education, Jeff also holds several certifications, including "Writing a Press Release" from LinkedIn, "COVID-19 Contact Tracing" from The Johns Hopkins University, and "Understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)" from LinkedIn. These certifications were obtained in January and February of 2021.
