Abby Cherner

Abby Cherner is a Nonprofit Management Specialist at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since July 2021, and also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Federation for Greater Washington starting in June 2019. Additionally, Abby holds the position of Nonprofit Executive at Hope for Henry Foundation. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector, Abby practiced law as an Attorney at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP from January 1989 to October 1995, specializing in legislation, government ethics, campaign finance, and election law. Abby Cherner earned a Master in Public Administration and a Certificate in Management from Harvard Kennedy School in 2022, a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989, and a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Cornell University in 1985.
