Rabbi Sarah Tasman

Rabbi Sarah Tasman serves as the Director of Jewish Journeys and Engagement at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since November 2021. As the Founder and Rabbi of The Tasman Center for Jewish Creativity, established in August 2018, Rabbi Tasman facilitates personalized Jewish learning through various modalities including writing, visual arts, meditation, and ritual creation. Rabbi Tasman's career includes roles as a presenter and workshop leader focusing on Jewish spirituality, as well as lifecycle officiation offering inclusive Jewish rituals. Previous experience includes positions at Gratz NEXT, The New Synagogue Project, Adas Israel Congregation, and InterfaithFamily among others. Rabbi Tasman holds a Rabbinic Ordination and a Masters of Jewish Education from Hebrew College, along with a Certificate of Non-Profit Management from American Jewish University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
