Maureen Merrigan

Maureen Merrigan serves as the Exhibitions Manager at The Jewish Museum since May 2022, previously holding positions as Associate Conservator and Assistant Conservator at The National September 11 Memorial & Museum from June 2014 to May 2022. At The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Maureen contributed to conservation-focused site monitoring during construction and managed remediation efforts for Hurricane Sandy flood damage. Prior experience includes Project Conservator at Warwick Shipwreck Excavation, where responsibilities involved organizing and recording artifacts from a 17th-century shipwreck, and roles as Archivist at the Institute of Nautical Archaeology and Data Scientist at Ocean Exploration Trust. Maureen began the career as a Conservation Technician at Conservation Research Laboratory and also served as Membership Coordinator at the Archaeological Institute of America. Educational credentials include a BA in Archaeology from Boston University and further studies at Texas A&M University.
