Penny Rosen

Penny Rosen (Brooklyn, New York) is a speech and language pathologist whose post-graduate work led her to specialize in working with neurologically impaired children and adults with a focus on Asperbergers and autism. She is a native of Bellmore, New York. They have held board and leadership positions in the synagogue since its inception. Penny is the Co-Chair of the Jewish National Fund Fire & Rescue Task Force and a member of the New York Board where co-chaired the Community Campaign for the last two years. A member of the Century Council, King Solomon Society, and Circle of Sapphire Plus Penny has traveled from Eilat to Kiryat Shimona to ensure that Israel’s first responders have the help they need—from fire helmets to firehouses. Prior to her involvement with JNF, Penny was a founding member the of the American Friends of Israeli Firefighters serving as the group’s President under the Chairmanship of Mark Egerman. She has also held many significant leadership positions with the United Jewish Federation of New York including the Chair of the Interboro Board where she created the mentoring program, the Planned Giving and Endowment Chair of the New York Executive Committee, and the Caring Commission Cabinet. Penny also served for eight years on the UJA Federation Board of Directors. On the Junior League of Brooklyn, Penny was Nominating Placement Chair and Vice President. She was on the Board of Yad L’Kashish and was a speaker and ambassador for the program as well as a board member of the Board of Jewish Education.
