A Noncommissioned Officer, JarMarcus King started his career as a U.S. Army Cargo Specialist at Ft. Bragg, NC, where he was responsible for coordinating and supervising rail, vessel, company statistics, and air operations. He requisitioned, maintained and coordinated shipments of equipment and supplies from manufacturers and vendors to locations worldwide.
Mr. King worked as the Logistics/Airfield Manager for three (3) years under AFRICOM in Djibouti, Africa and seven (7) years throughout Iraq and Afghanistan as a Program Manager on various high level Pentagon projects. He served as the Movement Control Team (MCT) supervisor responsible for all ground, rotary, and fixed wing operations at Balad Airbase, Iraq’s largest airfield and one of America’s most important military outposts during its occupation of the country. He was responsible for tracking all aircraft statistics to include the number of inbound and outbound passengers, pallets, and rolling stock. He processed a monthly average of 500 short tons of cargo in the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) so it could be tracked worldwide.
Mr. King supported the initial fielding and integration of the IED Mine Roller platform throughout Afghanistan, installing the Mine Roller system on various military mobility platforms. He was responsible for issuing, fielding, and installing over 240 state-of-the-art camera surveillance systems throughout Iraq. This camera system, called Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), used advanced elevated sensors, thermal imagers, and information technology (IT) to feed Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance data to Allied forces. Mr. King also operated the Base Expeditionary Targeting and Surveillance Systems–Combined (BETTS-C) which uses towers and aerostats to gather video and intelligence to provide specific targeting data. Mr. King is an expert in the development, implementation, and automation of logistical plans, policies, and procedures necessary to support equipment movement control, transportation and supply.
Currently, Mr. JarMarcus King, is a Creative Technologist with over 5 years of experience in managing, developing, overseeing web projects, mobile apps, and various digital media experiences. During his tenure at Georgia Tech Research Institute and Redstone Arsenal, Mr. King was fortunate enough to work with some of the greatest computer scientists and engineers in the industry.
